It can also be taught for credit as a week-long course. Programs that would benefit from the inclusion of a Connection Practice course include communications, early child development, elementary or secondary education, psychology, leadership and management and more.
The practice is approved for college credit at the national level through the Heritage Institute, which offers professional development for K-12 educators through online and distance courses, as well as at Edgewood College and Vitterbo University in Wisconsin and Park College in Missouri.
Beginning in 2010, The Connection Practice Foundations Course was offered for two graduate credits at the United Nations-mandated University for Peace, a graduate school for international leaders. It is one of the most highly rated courses by their students. In 2012, The Connection Practice was presented to rectors from 30 Latin American universities at INCAE, the “Harvard” of Latin America.
The Connection Practice can also be used effectively to mediate conflicts between staff, teachers, students, student groups or clubs, and faculty associations.
