Rasur Certified ​Maia is an early childhood educator with experience and training in Non-Violent ​Communication and Heartmath as well as The Connection Practice. She has been working with Rita Marie Johnson since the Rasur Foundation came to America in 2006 and was among the first group of trainers to become certified. Maia deeply appreciates facilitating this work and helping others connect to their core needs through empathy. She has a special interest in working with families: helping parents better understand and connect more lovingly with their children and assisting families in working through issues that cause them pain. She has also used the Connection Practice to support companies in developing core values and assessment tools to refine their business practices and to reduce tension in the workplace. As Director of Community Outreach, Maia is working to create a model for sharing the practice locally.
